Midlothian is an established county located less than ten miles south of Edinburgh city centre. Situated in attractive woodland, Pentlands Science Park at Bush Loan near Penicuik, offers the ideal “out of town” venue for holding large conferences and small informal meetings and workshops. Our aim is to provide you with a flexible service while ensuring your event runs smoothly and professionally. We can offer everything from an informal sandwich lunch meeting right through to full conference packages including delegate lunch packages, welcome packs and name badges with poster exhibition space provided. We open for weekend and evening functions, and we can offer a licensed bar if requested. Pentlands Science Park can provide you with a range of event options. A personal event co-ordinator is available from your initial enquiry through to the event itself, assuring you of attention to detail and high quality service.
Pentlands Science Park has a prestigious client list including Lothian & Borders Police, The Scottish Qualifications Authority, Midlothian Council, The Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce, and several agricultural associations. In 2005 a delegation of European Members of Parliament visited the Park and other events including The Business Environment Partnership Awards, SAC’s Seed Herbage Day and the Scottish TSE Network Meetings. The Scottish Agricultural Arbiters Valuers’ Association, the Scotia Agricultural Club also hold their AGM’s at Pentlands Science Park.
The Pentlands Science Park fully complies with the Disability Discrimination Act and the Lecture Theatre has removable seats to allow wheelchair access. A fully equipped disabled toilet facility is available near the main entrance and a lift provides access to all meeting rooms. Disabled parking spaces are available close to the front reception area.
